More Information on these Shower Panel Reviews:
We have listed special traits and key differences of shower panel systems in the chart above. We did not, however, cover common features that virtually all of these modern shower panels have. These include:
1. Handheld Shower Sprayers
Handheld showerheads or “wands” come in handy for a variety of purposes. For example, use them for shaving, to bath kids, pets or clean the shower itself.
On average, the hose length for these wands measures approximately 5 feet. Some have a slim “pencil” style with a more powerful water stream. Others provide multiple spray options, similar to that of some showerheads.
2. Rainfall Shower Heads
A big draw of wall shower systems is their ability to provide a rainfall showerhead without having to pipe through the ceiling. In addition, many models include a waterfall shower features as another bathing option.
Some panels include a rainfall showerhead that you can adjust, while others have a stationary design. Plus, as noted above, you can get some versions with LED lights built-in to the unit.
3. Basic, Straightforward Installation Process
Most of these wall showers require essentially 2 steps for installation. First, you attach the panel to the wall by hanging it on the brackets (included). Second, you attach the cold and hot water lines to your existing plumbing connections.
Of course, some showers have a different plumbing setup or use non-standard sized connection pipes. In these cases, you may need to hire a plumber to make adjustments to your existing water lines before connecting the hoses.
